The race itself does not change. You still run eight 1 km loops with eight stations, and your time still counts on the global leaderboard. What changes with HYROX residencies is how many days a city stays open for racing.
HYROX describes the change as a move from “1-2 day formats up to 10 day residencies” in select host cities. It does not publish an official list that labels each event as a residency.

Why HYROX Is Moving Beyond the Race Weekend
Demand outgrew the old model. HYROX counted roughly 1.5 million participants across 95 cities in 2025/26, and it now projects more than 2 million athletes across 107 race weekends on six continents. Co-founder Christian Toetzke points to “unprecedented global demand for fitness racing.”
Longer events also make operational sense. Trucking in equipment, building the course and tearing it down are fixed costs, and a venue that runs for six or ten days spreads those costs over far more athletes. Many host venues also sold out within hours of tickets going live, so extra days mean extra slots.
That is HYROX’s reasoning as reported. It has not published ticket prices or capacity numbers for any residency, so treat any claim about cheaper or easier tickets as unconfirmed.
Which HYROX Residencies Are Confirmed?
Only the UK has clear public figures so far. Health Club Management lists five UK events with their length, and two of them are already live this season.

Ticket sales for the 2027 season opened at the end of July, by region, according to BoxRox.
